Kapas futures climb Rs 10 per 20 kg

Kapas prices firmed up by Rs 10 to Rs 979 per 20 kilos in futures trade today on widening of exposure by the participants in view of rising trend in spot markets.
Market players said a firm trend in the spot markets on the back of tight supplies against growing demand mainly attributed rise in kapas prices at futures trade here.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, kapas for delivery in April 2018 shot up by Rs 10 or 1.03 per cent to Rs 979 per 20 kg, with an open interest of 2,716 lots.
