Delhi Water minister and AAP leader Kapil Mishra today wrote a letter to Police Commissioner Alok Kumar Verma for registering of an FIR for "misuse and slander" allegedly by some members "posting wrong and misleading information" through his "fake" profiles, pages and handles on social media.
"Some members of the BJP IT machinery are indulging in malicious and mischievous slander. This is being done by creating multiple fake profiles, pages and handles. On multiple times, they have created fake pages and posted misleading, wrong and false information while posing as Kapil Mishra," the minister alleged in his letter.
Delhi BJP chief Satish Upadhyay rejected Mishra's charge terming it as "ridiculous" and accusing him of suffering from "BJP phobia".
"The allegation of Water minister Kapil Mishra that BJP IT cell has opened his fake Facebook account is totally ridiculous. He is suffering from BJP phobia and the reason is that he is a minister with BJP background in Kejriwal government and the party has always doubted him and in order to prove himelf Mishra always tries to hold BJP responsible for anything," Upadhyay said.
Mishra also alleged that a fake facebook profile of him was used to make fun of the funeral procession of Nirankari Sant Baba Hardev Singh by equating it with a political rally, with the intention to paint AAP and him in poor light.
"This is being done to rouse communal tensions within the city, which should not be tolerated and be cracked down upon," he said requesting for registration of an FIR by the police.
