Taking to Twitter, the 44-year-old director chose Indian Navy Day to announce the film, which is set to release on February 17, next year.
"Dharma Productions is proud to partner with AA films for The Ghazi Attack - India's first war-at-sea film! @dharmamovies @RanaDaggubati," he wrote along with the poster of the film.
In another post he tweeted, "#TheGhaziAttack releases in theatres on 17th February 2017 Thrilled about this one."
Johar's Dharma Productions also shared the news about the film's release, which stars Rana Daggubati.
