The Yeah Yeah Yeahs front woman has announced that her debut record, 'Crush Songs', will drop this autumn via The Strokes singer Julian Casablancas' Cult Records, reported MTV online.
The music was written between 2006 and 2007 and is described as a 'collection of lo-fi, bedroom recordings'.
"When I was 27 I crushed a lot. I wasn't sure I'd ever fall in love again. These songs were written and recorded in private around this time," Karen said.
"They are the soundtrack to what was an ever continuing love crusade. I hope they keep you company on yours."
