Ridiculing Jayalalithaa for reaching out to people through an audio message on app-based messenger service 'Whatsapp', he said the chief minister was speaking like an "astral voice".
"When Chennai, the state capital, was struggling under water, how many days, how many hours did Chief Minister Jayalalithaa meet and comfort the flood-affected people?" he asked.
Responding to a set of questions in party mouthpiece 'Murasoli,' Karunanidhi asked why had the Chief Minister not convened a cabinet meeting to discuss the situation.
"How many times did she meet the Prime Minister (Narendra Modi) in Delhi to seek assistance or respond to the repeated charges by opposition party leaders," over the ruling AIADMK's handling of the northeast monsoon and the deluge, he said.
