Leader of Opposition in Madhya Pradesh Assembly and Congress leader Satyadev Katare today suffered injuries on his head after he fell in the Vidhan Sabha while staging a sit-in demanding relief for farmers hit by unseasonal rains and hailstorms.
Katare fell in the lobby of the House and suffered injuries on his head after which doctors immediately attended to him and stitched up his wound, Congress leader and spokesperson Pankaj Chaturvedi told PTI.
"Doctors have also advised Katare to do a CT scan," Chaturvedi said.
Congress legislators have been staging an indefinite sit-in in the Well of the House since last evening, demanding immediate relief for farmers hit by rain and hailstorm by waiving off their water pumps power bill as well as suspension of loan recovery, besides other issues.
