Kate Mara and Nick Robinson will star in FX's new limited series, about an affair between a teacher and her student.
Titled "A Teacher", the 10-episode series is an adaptation of Hannah Fidell's 2013 feature film of the same name, reported Variety.
The filmmaker will write and direct the show as well as executive produce it alongside Michael Costigan, Jason Bateman, Danny Brocklehurst and Mara.
The show will explore "the story behind the mugshot of a female high school teacher who is caught in an affair with her male student and reveals the complexities and consequences of the illegal relationship".
Mara, 36, will play the role of Clarie, a popular young teacher at a suburban Texas high school.
Robinson, 24, will portray Eric, an all-American high school senior.
"A Teacher" will be produced by FX Productions.
