Kawad yatra: 52 CCTV cameras installed along route

Aiming to ensure smooth conduct of the ongoing Kawad Yatra, district authorities here have installed 52 CCTV cameras along the route of the annual pilgrimage.
Police said the cameras have been installedin 20 sensitive places of the district to secure the pilgrimage route.
The yatra which started from July 15, will be concluded on August 1.
Every year pilgrims (known as Kanwarias) start carrying water from Ganga in Haridwar and offer it to lord Shiva on August 1.
These devotees carry holy water in small pitchers back to their homes, traveling all the way on foot.
