KCR launches housing scheme for poor

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today launched a key programme of his government under which double bedroom houses would be provided to the poor.
The scheme was inaugurated at the IDH Colony here in the presence of Union Minister of State for Labour (independent charge) Bandaru Dattatreya and Telangana ministers.
Rao said under the scheme, about 60,000 houses would be built this year across 119 assembly constituencies in the state at a cost of Rs 4,000 crore.
Dattatreya in his speech said the Centre would fully help the state in its development endeavour.
