23-year-old Bidve, a student of Microelectronics at Lancaster University, was walking with friends in Salford when he was shot in the head at close range on December 26, 2011.
Vaz, who is in close contact with the Bidves since the tragic death of their son, would also attend the trial starting on next Monday.
"I am very concerned that the Bidves have all the support they need at this very difficult time. Greater Manchester Police have done an excellent job on this case," Vaz said.
"I am sure that this trial will be fair and an opportunity to allow the family closure. It is vital that we send out the message that Britain is a safe place for foreign students.
"We have world-class universities, which continue to attract top talent from across the globe. This was a deeply tragic incident, but it was a one-off and international students should feel secure here."
A 21-year-old "psycho" Briton has been charged with the unprovoked Boxing Day shooting of Bidve.
Kiaran Stapleton, who had described himself as 'Psycho Stapleton', has entered a plea of "guilty to the manslaughter of Anuj Bidve on the grounds of diminished responsibility, but not guilty to murder."
