"I wish you the best, do well and come back with gold. You have to hold the flag high at the games," Kejriwal told the players while welcoming them at Delhi Secretariat.
The ten-member contingent from Asha Kiran Home for mentally-challenged is part of the Indian team to participate in the 2015 Special Olympics.
The team will participate in cycling, handball, power lifting, softball and volleyball events.
The team would be back on August 4 after the event gets over, according to officials with the contingent.
The players also gifted the Chief Minister with a painting made by the inmates of Asha Kiran.
The meeting was also attended by Delhi Social Welfare Minister Sandeep Kumar.
