The "The Since U Been Gone" hitmaker had been teasing fans about a big announcement all week by posting videos of herself performing songs.
The singer revealed she has already started on her first album for the Warner Music Group label a record inspired by her love of soul music and R&B, reported Contactmusic.
"We have already started creating a record that I have been wanting to make since I was a little girl, and a record that fans have been asking me to make for years, here's to the future!" she said.
