Kent RO Systems expands in GCC, partners UAE's Sands Intl

Noida-based water purifier major Kent RO Systems Ltd today announced its expansion into the GCC market for which it has tied up with UAE's Sands International for distribution of its products in the region.
The move is a part of the company's broader expansion plans in the Middle East and North Africa in the next few years, Kent RO Systems said in a statement.
In the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) markets, the brand's range of household appliances will be available at LuLu Hypermarkets, it added.
Kent RO Systems Chairman Mahesh Gupta said: "We plan to utilise our expertise and market experience in India to cater to the growing demands of households in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and the rest of the region."

There has been a growing demand for effective and affordable water purifying solutions in the region, he added.
"We have been steadily expanding into the international markets. Kent's association with Sands International and LuLu Hypermarkets will kickstart a new business era for us in the GCC market," Gupta said.

Sands International deals with a variety of products ranging from home appliances to consumer electronics and IT. It has a multi-brand distribution network across the GCC.
Sands International CEO Sharoon Shamsuddin said: "The region offers immense potential for products such as water and air purifiers, especially when the brand assures uncompromised quality."

Kent RO has 40 per cent market share in India in the segment and the partnership will look towards replicating the same in GCC market as well, he added.
