Kerala government, in association with UN Women, has partnered with FleishmanHillard, a leading international public relations firm, with the aim of promoting the upcoming International Conference on Gender Equality (ICGE).
The three-day global conference will be held in nearby Kovalam from November 12-14 and is organised by Gender Park, an institution under the state department of Social Justice.
As part of this partnership, FleishmanHillard will provide strategic counsel and execute holistic communications solutions to help position and promote the ICGE as the first ever global landmark event of its kind in India, an official release said here today.
In addition, FleishmanHillard will also work towards creating media mindshare and intensifying share of voice to generate awareness and build interest around the event and the gender equality cause, it said.
Dr P T Mohammed Sunish, CEO, The Gender Park, said, "We are thrilled and privileged to partner with FleishmanHillard. We strongly believe that FleishmanHillard's prior experience and expertise in handling similar global events will give us the necessary impetus to not only promote our cause but also inspire others to do the same."
Yusuf Hatia, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, FleishmanHillard India, said, "We are honoured to be selected as the trusted PR advisor to support this social cause and we are committed to helping Gender Park achieve its goals through holistic and insights-driven communications."
The summit will witness participation of renowned thinkers, scholars, field experts, professionals and policymakers from India and around the world. There will be paper presentations, plenary sessions and panel discussions on various themes and a poster exhibition will be on display throughout the conference.
"'Gender, Governance and Inclusion' is the core theme of the conference that will discuss issues ranging from citizenship, globalisation, work, governance, health and education to masculinities, disability and the role of media.
"The conference aims to provide in-depth vision and understanding of the best practices worldwide for achieving gender equality," Hatia said.
