The decision in this regard was taken at the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, a government press release said.
23-year-old Satnam,a native of Bihar,was an undergraduate law student, had been taken into custody by police August 1, 2012 for allegedly causing disturbance at a function at the Mata Amritanandamayi mutt.
He was later shifted to an asylum for treatment, where he died after allegedly being assualted by some employees and inmates, an enquiry revealed.
Satnam, who was under treatment for some mental ailment, had according to media reports, run away from home in May 2012 and landed at the Mutt in Kollam.
