Kerala's prestigious journalism prize for V P Ramachandran

Veteran journalist V P Ramachandran has been selected for Kerala's prestigious journalism award for his outstanding contributions in a career spanning several decades.
The award, instituted by the state government in memory of pioneers of modern Malayalam journalism Swadeshabhimani Ramakrishna Pillai and Kesari Balakrishna Pillai, carries Rs 1 lakh and a citation, according to an official announcement here today.
