Khandu assures to look into grievances of APCSOA officers

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu today assured the Arunachal Pradesh Civil Service Officers' Association (APCSOA) to look into their their grievances and use his office to sort out their issues.
Khandu while acknowledging the issues over career progression of the APCS civil service officers in the state has given assurance to immediately have a sitting with personnel department to sort out their problems, according to an official release.
He said the strengthening of APCS civil service officers is highly essential.
The chief minister also said that proposal for a separate IAS cadre for Arunachal Pradesh has been placed with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and advised "the officers to work sincerely for the government and the people, as people had lots of expectations."
"We are public servant and we are paid salary to work for the people," he said urging them to work in transparent manner for the welfare of the public.
He said all the ministers and MLAs have also been asked to maintain transparency and accountability.
"We can change the mindset of the people only when we are sincere to our job. The state is ours and the onus lies more on our officers. We need to build a right atmosphere and work culture," the press release quoted Khandu as saying.
