Two minute silence was also observed to mourn the demise of Kalam, who passed away yesterday following a massive cardiac arrest during a lecture in Shillong.
Speaker of Haryana Assembly, Kanwar Pal also expressed his profound sorrow over the former President's demise and paid rich tributes to him.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said the "sudden passing away of Kalam has shocked the people.."
Later while talking to reporters, the Chief Minister said that in his death the nation had lost a great scientist, educationist, able administrator and a dedicated scientist who initiated the missile programme in India.
Khattar said Kalam was an epitome of simple living and high thinking. "His life will always be an inspiration for all of us, especially the youth.
