Leading venture capitalist Vinod Khosla today met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and evinced interest in collaborating in e-governance and technology projects in the state.
The state government is already working with Khosla Labs, a technology start-up launched by the US-based billionaire businessman, for innovative applications on ePOS (point of sale) devices for fair price shops, a release from the Chief Minister's Office said here.
"During the meeting, the Chief Minister and Khosla also discussed the possibility of face-to-face mentoring sessions at AP's Startup Village and guide the government in preparing curriculum for a leadership academy (an initiative under the Startup Village)," it said.
Startup Village is a business incubator that aims to launch 1,000 technology startups over the next 10 years.
The Andhra Pradesh government is among a clutch of promoters of the ambitious project.
The India-origin Silicon Valley investor and entrepreneur also evinced interest in getting the AP government to collaborate with CK-12 Foundation, a California-based non-profit organisation whose stated mission is to reduce the cost of, and increase access to education, the release added.
