During routine check up police found Mohit Sharma doing recce of an ATM machine in wee hours in Tanda town, District Senior Superintendent of Police Narinder Bhargav said.
Finding him suspicious, police nabbed Sharma, a Uttar Pradesh resident, the SSP said, adding during interrogation Sharma confessed to having been a part of a seven-member gang involved in looting several ATMs using gas cutting machines.
The SSP claimed that Sharma was kingpin of the gang.
One pistol, 3 live cartridges and a bike were recovered from him, he said adding efforts are being made to nab other accused.
