Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry Kiran Bedi and Chief Minister V Narayanasamy Sunday extended greetings to the Islamic community on the eve of Bakrid (Eid Ul Adah).
In her message, the Lieutenant Governor said," Bakrid is the festival of sacrifice marking the completion of a holy pilgrimage which signifies spiritual growth of an individual for leading a disciplined life."
She said, "On the happy occasion of the festival I extend my hearty greetings and best wishes to the Muslim brethren and to the people of the Union Territory of Puducherry."
