Actress and BJP MP from Chandigarh Kirron Kher today flayed the Director of a prestigious technical university after "not finding her name" on the plaque during the foundation stone laying ceremony here.
The first time MP also said she raised the matter of "non-acknowledgement" of her work on public platform so that in future it should not be repeated.
"I am little hurt today because I felt none of the plaques had acknowledged my presence," Kher said while addressing the gathering here.
She was here to attend the foundation stone laying ceremony of 'Mango Grooves Garden' at PEC University of Technology at Sector 12 here.
On the plaque, the name of Haryana and Punjab Governor and Administrator UT Chandigarh Kaptan Singh Solanki was mentioned. Besides, the name of adviser to administrator Parimal Rai was also mentioned, but the name of local MP Kher was not there.
"Prof (Manoj K) Arora, I take strong objection to that. I am very sorry to bring it up over here. I have never done this in the past. But I felt that injustice has been meted out to me for the last 15-16 months in this regard," she said.
"Because we work day and night for you it is not that we do not work for the people of this city. All we want is the acknowledgement of our party (BJP) and presence," Kher, wife of Bollywood actor Anupam Kher said.
