All the kitchens and eating joints at the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium here were today sealed by Delhi government's disaster management authority, a day after it slapped a show cause notice on Delhi District Cricket Association for failing comply with necessary safety measures relating to a fire incident during an IPL match on Saturday.
The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) had served a show cause notice on DDCA yesterday following a fire incident during Saturday's IPL match between Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Daredevils.
The kitchens and eating joints were sealed by South Delhi Municipal Corporation following directives by the DDMA.
Officials in the DDMA said Venue Operations Manager and Vice-President of DDCA Chetan Chauhan has informed that all safety precautions will be put in place as directed by the disaster management authority.
Chauhan was yesterday served a show cause notice asking why punitive action would not be taken against the cricket association for non-compliance of its previous order to put in place safety norms during IPL matches.
The notice mentioned about a fire incident at the stadium on Saturday evening during the IPL match.
