Kite festival attracts thousands

Kite flyers from 13 countries along with domestic teams are participating in the two-day kite festival at the Panambur Beach here.
Besides flyers from abroad, three national teams from Dahanu and Mumbai (Maharashtra) and Hyderabad were taking part in the festival which was inaugurated by Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner A B Ibrahim last evening.
This is the fifth international kite festival in Mangaluru jointly hosted by Team Mangalore, a hobby group of kite flyers, and Rotary International District.
