"We should translate the thoughts and ideas of great democratic leader BP Koirala if we are to pay tribute to him," he said.
Speaking at an interaction programme organised by Indian Embassy and BP Koirala India-Nepal Foundation in Kathmandu, Rae said, "BP Koirala was the symbol of Nepalese renaissance, who fought his entire life for social justice and democratic rights."
On the occasion Professor Jay Raj Acharya, former Nepalese resident representative to the United Nations, shed light on late Koirala's contributions to the Nepalese democratic struggle and his literary works.
India-born Koirala held office for 18 months from May 1959 to December 1960.
