KPs slam separatists

A Kashmiri Pandit organisation today lashed out at separatists for not raising their voice against the massacres of community members in the Valley over the past 24 years of turmoil.
"Every massacre and fake encounter is mourned by public at large and a call for shut down is proposed by the separatist camp. But during the last two decades, not a single separatist leader has ever proposed a shut down against the massacres of Kashmiri Pandits," Kashmiri Pandit Sangarsh Samiti president Sajay Tikoo said in a statement.
Tikoo said on January 25, 1998, 23 Kashmiri Pandits, including a two-year-old boy, were killed at Wandhama in Ganderbal district.

"16 years have passed since this massacre by unscrupulous elements present in the Kashmiri society but nothing has been done by any camp, whether mainstream or separatist, to book the culprits," he said.
On the contrary, all the cases pertaining to killing of Kashmiri Pandits have been closed for different reasons, he alleged.
Tikoo also hit out at migrant Kashmiri Pandits for only observing January 19 as the 'holocaust day' while ignoring the massacres that took place over a period of time.
He said Chief Minister Omar Abdullah should give a statement on the action taken in cases related to the killing of Kashmiri Pandits in the Valley.
