Kalpataru Power Transmission's (KPTL) net profit marginally dipped to Rs 40 crore for the quarter ended March 2015, as against Rs 41 crore in the same period previous fiscal.
A drop in its total income from operations to Rs 1,071 crore in the said quarter from Rs 1,147 crore a year ago mainly dented the show. Other income too came down to Rs 10.78 crore in Q4 from Rs 11.32 crore last year.
However, KPTL's consolidated net profit dropped to Rs 115 crore for 2014-15 from Rs 124 crore in 2013-14. Revenue for FY15 was up 2 per cent at Rs 7,198 crore against Rs 7,090 crore in FY14.
Core earning before interest, depreciation, tax and amortisation (EBIDTA) excluding other income for FY15 grew 19 per cent to Rs 704 crore against Rs 590 crore in FY14.
KPTL's standalone net profit for the entire 2014-15 too fared well, which grew 13 per cent to Rs 165.6 crore against Rs 146.4 crore previous fiscal. The company's revenue for FY15 rose 9 per cent to Rs 4,422 crore against Rs 4,055 crore a year ago.
Similarly, EBIDTA excluding other income for the year went up 10 per cent to Rs 426.7 crore against Rs 386.2 crore in 2013-14.
