Young golfer Lakshya Raj Poonia, son of 2010 Commonwealth Games gold medallist discus thrower Krishna Poonia, finished a creditable tied second in the boys (13-18) category of the Junior Prep Tour event 6 in Florida, US.
Lakshya scored 10-over 82 at the 72 par Mayacoo Lakes Country Club in West Palm Beach, Florida to share the second spot with Alejandro Arteta.
Quinn Walker finished at the top with a score of 79.
The Junior Prep Tour is an entry level tour, encompassing a nine month season of golf played on some of South Florida's best golf courses, for junior golfers from ages 9-18 who are looking to make the jump from team golf and other entry level junior programs to the next level of competition.
