Kumbh Mela: Missing women traced, to be reunited with family

Six elderly women from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar who went missing during the ongoing Kumbh Mela have been traced and will be reunited with their family soon.
The women who had come here for taking a holy dip in the second 'shahi snaan' (royal bath) on September 13 were separated from their families, Nashik Police Commissioner S Jagannathan told reporters here.
They have been traced and are presently staying at a residential home of a non-government organisation, he said, adding, they will be soon re-united with their families.
The women have been identified as Gayatridevi Pandey (62), Shanti Devi Varma (65), both from UP, and Sayil Devi Kasevan Singh (63), Subhadra Vimalprasad Yadav (66), Bijalidevi Yadav (67) and Geetadevi (70), all hailing from Bihar.

During the second royal bath, thousands of devotees, seers and mahants took holy dip in river Godavari at Nashik and Trimbakeshwar.
Meanwhile, police personnel on September 13, rescued three devotees from drowning in the river.
