Kundu's interim bail prayer rejected

A city court today rejected an interim bail prayer of Rose Valley Group chairman Gautam Kundu whose father died this morning.
City sessions court judge G C Karmakar, while rejecting the bail prayer, allowed Kundu to attend his father's funeral and the following rituals.
The judge directed the prison authorities and the police to take him for the funeral and the rituals with appropriate security arrangement.
Kundu's counsel had prayed for interim bail to enable him to attend the funeral and shradh of his father.
Kundu was arrested by Enforcement Directorate on March 25 under Money Laundering Act.
