KWC registers case against Cong leader over 'anti-women' video

Kerala Women's Commission (KWC) Wednesdayregistered a case against K Sudhakaran, Congress candidate from Kannur,for sharing a video with "anti women" content on his Facebook page.

A suo motu case has been registered against Sudhakaran on the basis of media reports.

The case was registered as directed by chairperson M C Josephine, a release issued by the Commission said.

The video, shared by Sudhakaran in the the social media, shows an aged patriarchal man saying it was a mistake to send a woman there (indirectly referring to Parliament), who was educated as a teacher, as she was incapable of getting things done.

Sudhakaran had shared the video along with a disclaimer saying it does not refer to any characters, dead or alive, or "those who have made speeches in Parliament."
