The rape survivor's plight came to light after a doctor allegedly confined the tribal woman in her home and physically and mentally tortured her, they said.
"We will conduct a medical test on the man who was arrested yesterday. If necessary, a DNA test will also be conducted to ascertain the fact," Kandhamal Superintendent of Police, K V Singh said.
Earlier, police had on sunday arrested the AYUSH doctor, Ambika Mohapatra (45), who worked at a health center at Katringia in Kandhamal on charges of illegal detention and physical and mental torture of the pregnant woman.
