Lachit Borphukan's portrait in all Assam Government offices

The Assam Government has decided that the portrait of great Assamese warrior Lachit Borphukan will be displayed in all offices under the state government, including educational institutions, boards, corporations, autonomous bodies, agencies, etc.
The decision is made with a view to keeping the legacy of valour and patriotism of Lachit Borphukan afresh in the national life of Assam, said a government release here today.
