Lahiri to tee off at Shringers Hospital Open in Las Vegas

Anirban Lahiri returns to action this week as the PGA Tour returns to US soil this week for the Shriners Hospital for Children Open at TPC Summerlin.
Lahiri finished tied 10th and tied 5th in PGA Tour's Asia swing through CIMB Classic in Kuala Lumpur and at CJ Cup @ Nine Bridges in Jeju Island, Korea, which however was somewhat of a disappointment for the Indian.
He was in great position both weeks and in Korea, he was in contention for his maiden title till the back nine.
Still two top-10s in two starts actually three if one takes into account his tied 9th at the BMW Championships, the third leg of the FedExCup 2017, which was his last start in the previous season.

"Certainly, I am trending in the right direction. The result at BMW and then two finishes in Asia with the Presidents Cup in between showed that I am moving in the right direction, but at least in Korea I felt I could have done way better."
Lahiri is due to play at the Shriners Hospital Open and then in Mexico for his final start in the calendar year 2017.

"I want some rest and also return to India and spend time with my coach, Vijay (Divecha) and work on some aspects of my game."
One needs to train and practice every now and then, is how he feels and points out that top players dont play more than 22-24 weeks a year. This year in 2017, Lahiri has already played 25 weeks plus the Presidents Cup and there are two more starts, including this week.

This week Lahiri is paired with Ricky Barnes and Tyrone van Aswegen for an afternoon start from tenth tee.
Among the favourites this week are Charley Hoffman, Kevin Na, Kevin Chappell, Gary Woodland, Ryan Moore and Webb Simpson are among the favourites, as also Patrick Cantalay, Tony Finau and Bubba Watson, who has just one top-10 finish since June.
Then there is Luke List, who T-13 in CIMB and T-5 at CJ Cup.
