Lakhs of devotees took a holy dip at the confluence of Ganga, Yamuna and mythical river Saraswati here today on the auspicious occasion of 'Basant Panchmi'.
Official sources claimed that over a million people took a holy dip at the "sangam" today.
There were no reports of stampede, drowning or other mishap from the area around the confluence where the annual religious congregation of Magh Mela is also underway, the sources said.
A number of functions were also held at various educational institutions across the city, as students celebrated Saraswati Puja.
