Lakme Fashion Week to showcase talent of 29 young designers

Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2016 will give young and upcoming designers an opportunity to present their work, under its new Gen Next Programme.
The platform, best known to have produced talents like Swapnil Shinde, Masaba and Kallol Dutta, have picked 29 designers, who are reviewed by the members of the LFW Advisory Board on the basis of the quality creations, innovation, marketability, originality and ability to take their business to the next level.
The upcoming season will witness these designers in the Gen Next, Emerging and Jabong stage category.
"Lakme Fashion Week believes in providing the right platform to the young and emerging designers from the fashion world.
"We take pride in announcing the 21st batch of the Gen Next programme along with a new and exciting set of Emerging and Jabong Stage designers. I am looking forward to yet another exciting year with the new talent on board," said Saket Dhankar, Vice-President & Head-Fashion, IMG Reliance Limited.
Manish Mahotra, Narendra Kumar and Rohit Bal, are among the advisory board members.
The upcoming designers, who will showcase their creations include Naveem Naaz Shaikh, Sohaya Misra, Farah Sanjana, Garo by Priyanshu & Shweta, ASA by Shreya Oza, Poco & Jacky and Quo by Ishita Mangal.
