RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav today took a dig at Narendra Modi, saying BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate has failed to carry out both "raj dharma" (duty to govern) and "pati dharma" (duty of husband).
The tweet by Yadav comes after Modi mentioned his wife for the first time in an election affidavit two days ago.
"Modi ne na to kabhi raj dharma nibhaya aur nahin pati dharma (Modi has neither carried out raj dharma nor pati dharma)," he said.
Modi, for the first time, has declared himself as a married man in an affidavit filed before the Election Commission along with his nomination papers for the Vadodara Lok Sabha seat. Earlier, Modi never used his wife Jashodaben's name in poll affidavits.
The then NDA Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, upset over the handling of the 2002 Gujarat riots, had told Chief Minister Narendra Modi to adhere to raj dharma.
