Land Rover Freelander 2 spl edition launched at Rs 44.41 lakh

Tata Motors owned Jaguar Land Rover today launched a special edition of sports utility vehicle Land Rover Freelander 2 priced at Rs 44.41 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai).
This new edition is powered by a 2.2 litre diesel engine and will be available only in limited numbers, the company said in a statement.
Commenting on the launch, Jaguar Land Rover India Vice President Rohit Suri: "It will further endear the hugely popular model to our young and sophisticated customers looking to own an exclusive Land Rover with enhanced sporty looks."
The Freelander 2 Sterling Edition is equipped with sporty exterior features such as 17 inch five-split spoke alloy wheel, lower door claddings and a single tail pipe with bright finish among other features.

Snapdeal launches 'The Wedding Store' with Bharat Matrimony * Online marketplace major Snapdeal today said it has partnered Bharat Matrimony to launch 'The Wedding Store'.
The online store, part of the Snapdeal website, will house wedding clothing, accessories, gifting and home, under varied segments for both men and women, Snapdeal said in a statement.
"As per our research, 20 million people get married in this country every year...This launch in partnership with Bharat Matrimony, close to the wedding season, is bound to be well received by consumers across the country," Snapdeal Vice President (Fashion) Amit Maheshwari said.

Tech firms to discuss smart city roapmap at InfoComm * Over 100 global firms will meet at InfoComm this year to discuss and showcase technology for smart cities in Mumbai between September 17-19.
The solutions being showcased would include areas like e-governance, intelligent health and traffic management, integrated multi-modal transport system and a security system for better urban living.
Senior management and technology experts from firms like Delta, Kramer, Panasonic, Christie Digital and Harman along with city planners and policy makers will be present at the event, a statement said.

PayPal partners TiE Chennai for incubating start ups * PayPal India, in partnership with The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE) Chennai, today launched the 'Start Tank Incubation Challenge'.
"Our aim is to foster the entrepreneurial spirit and focus on building an ecosystem that nurtures entrepreneurship and innovatio," PayPal Development Centers India General Manager Anupam Pahuja said adding that up to five startup companies will be inducted.
Start Tank runs globally across PayPal offices in Boston, London and Chennai, and provides access to global mentors, angel investors and venture capitalists.
