The explosives were stuffed in a tiffin can and electric wires were seen wrapped around it.
The experts of bomb squad later defused it.
A country-made gun and cartridges were also recovered in a sack lying nearby.
The police and joint forces cordoned off the area until the landmine was defused.
Two more landmines were found in Ranja forest at Salbani and Jhitka jungle in Lalgarh of the district yesterday.
