Sindhilina Margret told police that she was forced to flee Jaffna as her husband was in deep debt in Sri Lanka and the creditors were harassing her, police said.
The woman also said she had earlier been an inmate of the refugee camp in Tiruchirappalli and returned to Sri Lanka without informing officials.
