Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the US has generated a huge media interest with a large delegation of nearly 85 journalists from India expected to cover the event.
The Prime Minister has made a practice only to travel with the national broadcaster and few private news agencies during his foreign visits but about 78 media people will be there to do the reportage of the high-profile visit from September 26.
Most of the TV channels have already started broadcasting special programmes from the US regarding his engagements during his five-day stay. Even the print media is dedicating a lot of space to the stories related to Modi's visit.
All the prominent media house are sending big teams to cover the Prime Minister's maiden trip to the US and some of the press parties are also being sponsored by the organisers and others of the various events related to the visit.
Given the hype, the media is expected to cover each and every engagement of the Prime Minister extensively -be it official or business.
In New York, Modi will be addressing the United Nations General Assembly and a public meeting in Madison Square among other events. Modi will then travel to Washington where he will hold a bilateral meeting with the President Barack Obama, who is also hosting a private dinner for the visiting dignitary.
