According to a police release, a city police taskforce under the supervision of Assistant Commissioner of Police I Chittibabu raided unauthorised godowns at Nagarampalem Road, and Swatantranagar Road as well as apprehended Borra Satish Kumar, owner of Rupeesh Kirana and General Stores besides Borra Krishna.
A huge quantity of banned tobacco products were seized from their possession which was worth of Rs 2 lakh.
They and the seized property were handed over to the Food Inspector of Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) for necessary action under provisions of the Food Safety & Standard Act -2006, the release said.
