To be hoisted by Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar on January 23, the flag will be taller than the Qutub Minar.
Parrikar is scheduled to hoist the flag in Ranchi on January 23 in the presence of Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das and other state officials.
The event will coincide with the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
The flag has been created by 120 workers who have been working in two shifts for the last 40 days and the cost of the project is estimated to be around Rs 1.25 crore, state government sources said.
