Haryana Chief Secretary DS Dhesi today said the state's history will be showcased through a laser show on the inaugural day of its year-long statehood celebrations.
The state's golden jubilee celebrations will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 1 at Gurgaon and will end next year on October 31, Dhesi said after reviewing preparations at the Tau Devi Lal stadium here.
The PM is expected to launch 50 schemes for Haryana during his visit to the state.
"The light, sound and water laser show will include the role of Haryana's people in the 1857 Independence struggle and the Panipat battles. It will showacse achievements in sports, bravery of soldiers from the state, and 'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' campaign," he said.
"Historians are being contacted to gather more information on the state so that we can present it during the festival. A short film on 'Digital Haryana' will also be screened," he said.
