Embassy ties up with Hilton to manage 586 keys hotel project

Realty firm Embassy group today said it has signed an agreement with global hospitality major Hilton for management of its second hotel project in Bengaluru comprising 586 rooms.
The company announced "the signing of a management agreement with Hilton for its second hospitality project - A 586-room dual-branded hotel within the Embassy Manyata Business Park that features a Hilton Hotels & Resorts and a Hilton Garden Inn brand hotel".
This will be one of the largest dual-branded hotels in India. "It will be developed and owned by the Embassy Group and managed by Hilton," the company said in a statement.
The hotel's plan and design are in an advance stage of finalisation. The company targets to start construction by 2017 and complete by 2020.
The dual-branded hotel will comprise 586 rooms in total, with 250 rooms at the Hilton and 336 rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn.
Embassy group CMD Jitu Virwani said: "We are delighted to expand and strengthen our partnership with Hilton. Our first hospitality project with Hilton at Embassy GolfLinks has been a great success and we are looking forward to extending our partnership to newer heights."
Mike Holland, CEO, Embassy Office Parks, said: "We are committed to enhancing the value of our office park and being strong enablers to our occupiers' businesses at Embassy Manyata Business Park."
Guy Phillips, Senior VP, Development- Asia & Australasia, Hilton, said: "We continue to see increasing brand awareness across our brand portfolio in India and this agreement underscores our long-term commitment to this country as a strategically important market where we now operate 15 hotels across 11 cities covering most major markets in the country."
Kaushik Vardharajan, Vice President, Development - India, Hilton, said the hospitality industry in India offers exponential potential. "We continue to pursue a multi-brand and multiple-partners strategy to drive sustainable growth. Currently, our pipeline in India includes 16 hotels with 2,700 rooms."
