Lead advance on sustained demand

Lead prices advanced at the non-ferrous metals market here today due to stockists buying and sustained demand from alloy industries.
Elsewhere, select copper also recovered following fresh demand from industrial users.
While, brass sheet cuttings softened owing to subdued demand from consumer industries.
Lead prices firmed up by Rs 7 per kg to Rs 159 from Thursday's close Rs 152.
Copper cable scrap and copper wire bar regained by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 387 and Rs 415 as against Rs 385 and Rs 413 respectively.
However, brass sheet cuttings edged down by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 298 as compared Rs 300 yesterday.
