"Wherever BJP workers or those of our ideological family tried to progress, there the CPI-M workers have committed violence and made murderous attacks.
"Not just in Kerala, but wherever the Communist party, CPI -M has ruled, it has been their practice to stop the spread of thought in this manner through violence," Shah told reporters on the sidelines of the inauguration of an exhibition, 'An Untold Story of Intolerance: Communist violence in Kerala'.
The BJP president said that the purpose behind bringing the exhibition to Delhi was to illustrate how ideological battles in Kerala have been converted into a series of barbaric murders.
Hitting out at Congress along with the Left, Shah said that in Kerala, "those who are in power and those who keep coming to power, because of them, patriotic people have to die".
It is very important for people to know about the inhuman treatment met out to "dedicated workers, patriots" who are working to spread their ideology in Kerala, he said.
