The '2nd Legasis Annual Compliance Awards-2015' which would be conferred on professionals who have excelled in exhibiting the culture of 'Compliance and Ethics' across the organisations, will be held here on October 10.
The day will also be observed as '10/10 Compliance Day.'
October 10 symbolises that every organisation needs to ensure compliance with "all applicable laws" and implement Robust Compliance Program by scoring 10 on 10 on compliances, according to a press release issued by Legasis, a law firm.
There will be seven Award categories in Compliance 10/10 Awards in which Compliance Crusader 2015 and Ethical Business Group 2015 are the two apex categories while the other five are -- Compliance Ecosystem 2015, Compliance Program 2015, Compliance Champion 2015, Compliance Team 2015 and Excellent Performers 2015.
Over 200 nominations for various categories have been received for Compliance 10/10, 2015 Awards, the release said.
As a part of observing Compliance Day on October 10, Legasis has organised a live interview of Richard Bistrong, CEO, Front-Line Anti-Bribery LLC, a consultancy dedicated to assisting organisations with anti-bribery compliance challenges as they impact front-line business teams.
Bistrong had pleaded guilty in September 2010 and was sentenced to one count of Conspiracy for violating the FCPA, including books and records as well as exporting goods without authorisation, the release said.
Currently, a recognised blogger, guest-writer and speaker in the field of anti-bribery compliance, Bistrong counsels organisations on front-line issues which impact international business teams and compliance personnel, it added.
Bistrong would be interviewed live by Ramesh Sharma, retired IPS and former Director General of Police, Madhya Pradesh, and now Executive Director of Legasis Services.
There would also be round table discussions on topic "Criminalisation of Indian Business and the impact of Compliance by Choice", the release added.
