There were plans to increase it to 100 hotels across the country by 2022, a top company official said.
Built at a cost of Rs 35 crore, the hotel has 61 rooms and suites and offers facilities including 24X7 multi-cuisine coffee shop, a recreation bar, a gymnasium and an outdoor swimming pool, R Vijayakumar, director, Lakshna Consultants and Hoteliers, which manages the property, told reporters here.
On the future plans, Lemon Tree Hotels Deputy Managing Director Rattan Keswani said that with the present 44 hotels, both own and managed under three brands, the company plans to touch the 100-mark by 2022.
On the growth prospects, he said the hospitality industry which witnessed a low from 2009 to 2017, was expected to pick up next year, with the increasing trend of domestic leisure travellers.
Lemon Tree Hotels had filed a Draft Red Herring prospectus two months ago with the Securities and Exchange Board of India to make an initial public offering of its equity shares, Keswani said.
On the business and marketing strategy, Vijayakumar said that the new hotel, strategically located near the airport, prominent IT parks and Codissia Grounds, would bring great value to guests travelling to the city.
