"Simmons will join the squad and Andre Fletcher has gone back home," West Indies team's media manager told PTI on the sidelines of a practice session at the Brabourne stadium here.
Simmons, a right-handed batsman and right-arm medium fast bowler, also plays for Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League.
Fletcher, had scored an unbeaten 84 in the side's win against Sri Lanka during the Super 10 stage of the World T20 championship in Bengaluru and was adjudged player of the match.
